Most stats are made up on the spot.

58% of people know that

Just beat me to it Westy! Or is it 56.24%?

I'm still looking to break 100 for the 1st time after 11 months of playing. Getting closer all the time and find it very interesting how good you have to be before you are really recognised as a golfer. Just playing a few rounds to get my first 3 cards in for a handicap. Hoping to get better than a 28 as can do fine and then have a couple bad holes scoring 8s or 9s.

I feel it coming and I won't give up. The biggest thing though is as I am getting closer, I'm having more and more fun playing this great game! :D

I managed to break 100 with my first ever round armed with 3 clubs! Then i got a full set and shot waaaay over 100 the next 3 rounds I had! Golf is a funny old game! I do not consider myself a particularly good golfer by any means and expect my handicap to be 18-20 when I finally hand my cards in.

I remember reading somewhere that 10% of golfers regularly, and I emphasie regularly, break 90.I assume this is handicappers.
Personally broke 100 quite quickly, a year or two to 90. Only got below 80 twice ( I was off 12 then )

At the beginning of this month I played in a mid week Stableford, I was off 20. Scored 47 points and lost 3 shots to 17. Then on the Friday hit a 1 under my new handicap with the CSS being +1 so lost another 0.6.

Since then Not broken 90 but have buffered in my last medal.

So gross 88 is to handicap now. But if I get under 90, I could be likely to get a cut depending on a. how much under 90 I hit. b. what CSS is.

No offense taken BTW.
