I am beginning the tentative steps of looking for a new car, and other than performance and the like one of the key requirements is 'will my clubs fit in the boot!'

Does anyone who has one/driven one know if the boot is a decent size?

We just bought a new car. Had a look at the 1 series but the boot is tiny. Had to fold down the rear seats and put the clubs in longways!!!

Ended up with a new civic 5 door. Plenty room in it, and plenty oomph from the 2.2 diesel.

I've got one and can fit bag, clubs, shoes, etc in without a problem. Even got enough room for my pull trolley if I need it. I only need to take the driver out of the bag but it still fits in the boot at an angle.

Never had to put the seats down yet either.

Mate get a Vauxhall Corsa VXR. End of. Moderators now close post :D

When i get my car i am getting (hoping to get) the corsa 1.2 SRi but with the VXR style pack, the badboy spoiler, badboy bumper, badboy grill and the blacked out windows :D. Did i mention you will be able to hear it from 2 miles away (drilling a hole in the exhaust does the job)

The new Ford range is very good. Hired a Mondeo for a golf trip in Scotland and we got 3 bags and 3 small cases and 3 shoe bags in the boot without a problem. Drove well as well. Hadn't tried one before but was impressed.

There is a very very fine line between looking cool.....

Hope you tell your insurance company about all the modifications.

Don't bother. Even a 3 series doesn't have enough room for clubs (without taking your driver out).

you wont be getting a 1.2 sri pal honestly

why not?

They dont make 1.2 SRI's thats why :p

Get a corsa life and debage it, stick some wolfrace wheels on with some spacers, Fit some blue lights behind your grill and a halfords cone filter and you will pull the chicks from McDonalds no problem!

As for the beemer 1, why would you want a car that looks like an old boot! You could always buy my VRS :D
