1st back from Redlibbits today after bottling out of the second 18 (wimp)so wanted to express thanks to Dave for hosting us at his place.

Great course, plenty of ups and downs and tons to keep you interested. A bit of local knowledge would definately of made a difference although Dave was great at talking us through each hole.

Played with the man himself, Sawtooth and RichardC. Thanks guys, great company and not too much abuse.

As always, great to meet some of the forum guys.

Brace yourself for photos of Murphs top. I thought a magician had arrived......

Rob

Only got home about an hour ago!!!!!

Great to meet you and it was a shame you couldn't play the 2nd 18.

Also like to say thanks to Dave for organising and leading the way, and to Sean (congrats on 2nd place)

Here, here! A great day, Dave. Thanks for organising a cracking day out.

I'm now sat in the living room and noticing how badly I got sunburnt today. In April!!! ;)

Thanks to my playing partners, Daveyc2k2, Golfmmad and FunkyFred. A pleasure to play with 3 great fellas. Cheers, boys!

Not been home long myself.

Thanks very much Dave for the organisation and everything.

Thanks to my playing partners Kev for your course knowledge and to Chris & Preet for an enjoyable first forum meet, 3 spot on geezers.

If only my game was as hot as what my arms and face feel like now and I didnt lug around a battery for 18 holes for no reason...
;) ;) ;)

C u all next time

Thanks to my playing partners Rog (Leftie) for your course knowledge and to Chris & Preet for an enjoyable first forum meet, 3 spot on geezers.

Sorted that for you Swede69 :D :D

Great day AW. Thanks for organising it. Good to meet several 1st time Forumers, to meet up again with many friends I've made on previous meets, and congrats to Bratty on taking the spoils of the day. I suppose that if he hadn't been in the frame, our rounds following him around morning and afternoon wouldn't have been nearly 5 hours each.

  :D :D

Would just like to add my thanks to Dave for organising this meet on what seemed to me the hottest day of the year so far. Sunstroke at the beginning of April

I must say a big thank you to my three playing buddies Bratty Golfmmad and Daveyc2k2 who were superb company and helpful throughout the day, gentlemen of the highest order. This was my first forum meeting and I must say to any of you guys who haven't been to one of these events yet, is to get your name down for one, an excellent day, and a great way to meet other forum members.

Well done to Bratty (Simon) on a superb exhibition of ball striking and putting on what were difficult greens
I would also like to wish him good luck in the two different matches he has arranged for today, and to Daveyc2k2 for his rugby match this afternoon, are these guys mad? :D :D

And I must say Murph, I was thinking you were going to pull a rabbit out the hat or shirt :D :D

Thanks again guys, and I look forward to meeting up with you again at Blackmoor.

Yes an excellent day - cheers Dave.

Great company in Terry and Anthony for a very enjoyable 36 holes.

Good to see some familiar faces, and great to meet some new forumers.

And finally begrudging congrats to that jammy bar-steward Bratty for taking the honours!!! :D :D

That was my first forum meet and I really enjoyed it. I am at work this morning absolutely knackered!

Roger, Steve and Preet were great company to spend the day with and I do offically have to apologise to Steve for allowing him to carry my spare battery round for 18 holes and then finding that my original 18 hole battery was to last 36 holes - sorry mate!(no it wasn't a late April fools joke)

Thanks to Dave for sorting the day and congratulations to Bratty for winning, Preet for nearest the pin and Pieman for longest drive (very short by forum standards, less than 360 yards!)

I did manage to "beat the pro" but didn't cover myself in glory otherwise.

Great day and will look forward to the next one - thanks.

Chris

Another big thanks to AuburnWarrior for organising what turned out to be a enjoyable days golf at RedLibbets.

I thoroughly enjoyed the company of AW, Rob2 and RichardC and it was good to meet new faces. Unfortunately Rob2 had to leave us after 18 due to an recent ankle injury that flared up. The rest of us soldiered on in the unrelenting sun to complete the 36 holes. Head is a bit sore this morning.

Some excellent golf shots hit by all interspersed with some not so good :o

Overall the course was in good nick and has a varied and interesting array of holes. The pick for me was the 13th par 5 with an elevated tee then a huge dip followed by a energy-sapping climb to the elevated green. Also the 17th 170yd par3 where the green was in a bit of a valley.

Sadly the greens weren't at their best due to recent spiking/sanding but still a great time had by all.

Ham, egg and chips - :)

Congratulations to Bratty for his win (nicked it by 11pts) :D

I can only echo the comments about re the organising, nice one Dave (AW)!! I am guessing you have a direct line to Mother Nature as the weather could not have been better :) (note to self, remember to take the shorts next time)

My appologies for having to leave "early", I had duties that needed my attention back at my own club!

Big thanks also to Paul and Terry for an very enjoyable 36 holes.

I am really looking forward to next weekend at Woodhall Spa, hopefully this great weather will continue or return after a damp week.

Thanks for organising Dave. Made a change to play a course off the whites so well done to all who put in a decent score. What a fantastic day for sunshine, I'm burnt to a crisp.

Well done to Bratty for 1st place,... (I'd say it was well deserved if I knew how to say it in Mexican) ;) hehe

Well done to anyone who beat the pro, 173 downhill isn't an easy shot.

Thanks to Murphthemog and DieselDave for putting up with all the swearing :D

I bet DieselDave thought we'd all be prim and proper golfing snobs... how far from the truth was he??? :D LOL

Some good shots in there and some really feckin' shite ones too! :) We had to get the calculator out a few times.... and that was just for Murph!!! :) I didn't realise there were so many flippin' bunkers on the course... I think we saw all of them :(

Nice to see the usual suspects and the new faces... you guys (all of you) are great company both on and off the course.

And finally, a big thanks to Timgolfy for giving us something to have a laugh about whilst we were playing :)

A fun day guys, especially standing on the veranda watching people in. May be I should just miss the golf out altogether. Some might say I did anyway.

Cheers Dave (AW).

Well done Bratty. Off 3 next time?

Well, what a great day, and what a pleasure to be able to play with the shackles off, ie no waterproofs or thermals.

Thanks again for organising Dave, and really enjoyed the course, even though it's a tough bugger! :)

Big thanks to my playing partners, Gary (Funkyfred),Simon (Bratty) and Dave (Daveyc2k2), who were a pleasure to play with. I think there was banter and laughter on every hole, which was great to be part of.

Very well done to Simon for the win, with some great driving and also some awesome approach shots, - although I have to say here, a small part was attributed by his playing buddies, for getting him so relaxed he unleashed his "A" game. :D :D :D

Golfmmad.

I would just like to echo everyone's comments and thanks to Dave. I thoroughly enjoyed my first forum meet and the company was superb.

I really enjoyed the course, and when the greens get better I'm sure it will be amazing.

Big thanks to Simon (Bratty), Chris (golfmmad) and Gary (funkyfred) for your company on the course. 3 excellent guys and some great golf shots played by all. Bratty, well done on your win, I'm pretty sure if you carry on like that you won't be off 16 for much longer.

Thanks again Dave, and already looking forward to my next forum meet.

Davey
