Apologies for posting the photos so late - I've been away all weekend.

Firstly, many thanks to all who participated - I hope you all had a good day.

Secondly, thanks to him upstairs for sorting out a glorious, sunny day. It was perfect golfing weather.

I've learned a couple of things from Friday:

1) next time, get everyone to pay the full amount up front. It saves me running around like a blue arsed fly trying to sort out who owes what!

2) 18/27 holes rather than 36

3) NEVER play Sawtooth for money - he hits a MONSTER ball!

4) Bratty plays off 5

5) wear suncream

To my playing partners - Sawtooth, RichardC and Rob2 - many thanks. Some great shots played by Sawtooth, Rob2 for his 5 pars on the spin and RichardC for some great ball striking.

The day highlighted again just how good this forum is. 18 people got together, some newbies, some old friends but to a man, every single one courteous, friendly and amicable.

I look forward to the next meet!

Also, what's wrong with 36? I played another 36 on Saturday in two comps and 18 holes on Sunday in the Captain's Drive In.

Admittedly, I could barely move on Sunday evening, but it was worth it!

Great snaps AW, and (owing to bl**din Virgin bband) a very belated thanks from me for organising such a high quality day.

Was a pleasure to meet my playing partners Leftie, Chris, and Steve. The banta was great guys, pity my play was the of the OTHER quality. I have to offer apologies for my use of some mildly colourful adjectives on the 11th tee in the afternoon but other than that you should know that I was .......extremely well behaved.

I have to agree with 27 (or 18) next time - unless AW can organise an after-round masseusse to help get rid of the stiffness!

And there was me wondering why Chris's tee shot on the 12th second time round was aimed into the bushes adjacent to the nudist colony and why his 2nd ball off the tee was subsequently pulled into the parked caravan area of said colony . To be fair, after 30 holes of golf he did admit to being a bit stiff and wandered over and ask if anyone had seen his balls
