Best front nine, then mini collapse

Played in the Saturday Comp, and played the front nine in level par gross. Ended up with 27 points. Started the back nine with two more pars. Wheels then fell off and blobbed the next two holes. Came back in 16 points. Not sure how well I did in the comp yet, but it's looking like my 4th consecutive cut... was 19.3, think I'm going to be under 15 now.. Just hope I can keep it up.

Must have been a good weekend for this happening. The group in front of me playing the medal one guy was 3 under after 9 in fact after 12 and was thinking what is the club record. Then dropped 5 shots in the last 6 holes. To cap it off he ended up being beaten into 3rd place by two others better inward half.

I played a decent front nine yesterday afternoon on my own and had 19 points at the GM day on Wednesday and 12 coming home (5 of those on 10 and 11). It happens and the fact that you are scoring so well and coming downso quickly shows you have many more level par nines to look forward to

Well bugger me with a splintered broom handle if that isn't gobsmackingly fantastic shooting. You play off 19 and were level after 11 holes. That's utterly brilliant. Hats off to you sir. Well played and I imagine you'll be in single figures in no time.

Just got in from a level par front 9 (23pts) and then dropped 3 shots in last 2 holes to finish with 39 pts. Feel a little mixed on one hand im happy to get a cut but feel i let a good 42pt slip!!!

I'm not sure I would call 16 pts with 2 blobs a mini collapse, indeed a collapse of any magnitude when you play off 19. I'd call it playing to your handicap. I would however call the front 9 inspired

Just received my new handicap... After four good competition rounds in two weekends im now down from 19.3 to 13.9

That is some come down in such a short time. The secret is to keep that going and maintain the new handicap but it seems your going tobe more than capable. Great shooting

That's some great golf my friend but I must admit to being a little confused.

You say you have come down from 19.3 to 13.9 with 4 consecutive cuts over 2 weekends so shouldn't you have been off less than 19.3 on saturday or have you actually come down from a higher handicap last weekend to get to 19.3?

Fabulous golf though.
