Glad he got in the Open! I hope he finds ways of coping with the troubles he’s had. Living out of a suitcase (even in top hotels) takes its toll. His image has got him more recognition and that is not without its own stresses. We all moan about cookie cutter pros coming off the College Conveyor Belt!

Do I think he’d play better golf if he lost two stone? yes, but he’s not alone in that!
Do I think his beard looks daft. yes
