BBC

OK so helping and teaching people to cook properly rather than relying on emminently worse processed foods is a bad thing and also a BBC problem (actually not many mainstream BBC cooking programs these days)
He conveniently ignores the fast food outlets, but then that doesn't fit his mantra.

You are absolutely right there. I do ignore fast food outlets. Just looking at them makes me feel sick.
But what right do the BBC have to try to control our eating habits?
I was brought up in austerity Britain. Diet of white bread, dripping, custard, inedible school dinners.
That's why I never became addicted to food. The BBC wants you to be.

From previous post "Do you really think that Patrick Moore is a fine example of current and more enlightened thinking and he died over a decade ago so not the most up to date example anyway."
He was a great eccentric but that doesn't mean he was not wise. A great guy sadly missed.

I do hate the cookery programs on BBC.
They are helping to make the nation overweight, and they do not help with the obesity crisis which is becomiing ever more serious.
It has been proved beyond doubt that keeping down the calories to a bare minimum makes you healthier AND helps you live longer.
Ever heard of anorexia?

I think it was the BBC News yesterday had a piece on food labelling and the confusion serving size etc can cause. Anyhow some sprightly 70 year old (who looked a good decade younger) apparently every day had prunes for breakfast, sardine salad for lunch and banana yoghurt for tea...I'd prefer to look a decade older than live like that.

Funny - I do actually eat oily fish, dried fruit, fresh fruit, yogurt and loads of fresh veg and salad every day and actually really enjoy it.
I also love beer, wine, rum, whisky and smoking though, so I guess it would be considered offsetting.

Jeez Phil

Prime time Trailers for their own programs , even I could work that one out 👍

So what’s wrong with having trailers for their own programs 🤷‍♂️

Hence why I asked get away with what thinking there must be something else

Shocking.
I would have the banana yoghurt for breakfast, I'd have mackerel instead of sardine for lunch and I'd have the prunes as a desert after me dinner in the evening.

But not every day! What's wrong with some people?

Don't really care how old I look - merely a mask covering the undeniable reality.

Put you phone down Phil, you’re obviously just looking for an argument.
More to life than arguing on social media 👍🏻
A news source telling you where to get more information on a subject is a bad thing? Really? I think it’s obvious who is really looking for an argument here.
