Bargain ICONS

I was in The Scottish Golf Centre in Edinburgh tday and they are selling 2010 FootJoy Icons for £109. Am gutted I didnt wait and forked out £90 for the sports now.

What makes the ICONs differ from the other FJ models?

Thinking about getting some MyJoy icons for my Birthday.

They have replaced the Classics and are selling in American Golf for £199. Thy have some fancy wishbone thingymajig in the midsole that makes you play off scratch within days of buying them .... They are to fancy ones Aztec.

They will be fantastic to wear, will look the dogs, but, and it's a big but, they won't be waterproof, in any way. Classics never were, and from what I've heard, Icons have followed suit.

Disagree. I have several pairs of Icons and they come with a 12 month waterproof guarantee anyway but I've had no problems in the wet with them and I go in some long grass regularly which would test them out

Classics also had the same warranty. Ha, no way were they waterproof. One of the guys I play with has a pair of icons, no better. You must be lucky.

If you want waterproof, dryjoys, all the way.

I agree that pound for pound Dryjoys offer the best value even in myjoys but I've never had an issue with Icons. If they had leaked at that money I'd be straight into full complaining mode

Never ever had an issue with any of my pairs of icons either.

If they did leak, I would just get them replaced under the guarantee, not put up with it.
