I was not such a serious player when I bought a set of mid price irons from American Golf a couple of years ago. Although I bought them from AG the brand rep was on hand to measure me prior to placing my order. It was my first "custom fitting" so I had no real expectations. The rep asked me a few questions and watched me hit a few shots on a lunch monitor. He then gave me my "specs" to place my order. Two years later I decided it was time to treat myself to some Titleists. I booked into HB Golf academy and the findings were very interesting. My swing has imroved but not changed that much in two years. My old clubs where 1" shorter, adjusted 2 degrees flatter and regular flex (standard for my height). My new AP1 716's will be standard length, 2 degrees upright and X-flex. 4 degrees and two shaft stiffnesses out! Has anyone else ever had a similar experience?
