First things first, i think he's a dweeb of a man and again last night he's off crying again.

He's been a great manager in the past,i just think his beliefs are bringing him down. Don't get me wrong I agree with his philosophy, but is it realistic in this day and age in the premiership, with the money floating about. I think not. He's better suited to a club in a league such as France or Portugal, where's theres good teams with great potential where he can bring through younger players.

Unfortunately his "philosophies" won't work in the Premiership where money is everything. For years now everyone has been saying "this is Arsenal's season" and yet again it probably won't be and they will win he haw. A lot of the youngsters have a bit of experience now (Denilson, Song, Traore, Vela) and I think selling Lassana Diarra was a huge mistake. Henry always gets mentioned but what Arsenal need more than anything is a Viera type player to impose themselves on the match. Whether Wenger has someone in mind or just doesn't see this, it's clear to a lot of people that this might just be the difference between a win and a defeat for Arsenal.

I don't agree sorry IMO Wenger is the best thing to ever happen to british football as an Arsenal fan I am blessed to have him looking after the club I love. Anyone who watched the game and can lip read will have seen Hughes mouth F***** W***** at him after hughes entered the Arsenal Technical box, I wouldn't have shaken hughes hand either

I do think Wenger has a great aptitude for developing talent and producing sides that are attractive to watch. However I think his instransigence when a decision goes against his side is a hige character flaw. I'm all for defending your side and as a manager I'd expect nothing less but there are times when he has claimed/denied things that TV have clearly shown to be the right decision and he still refuses to back down. By accepting you are wrong isn't necessarily a sign of weakness.

I like the Arsenal style apart from the fact they want to walk it in. Some of the passing and movement is sublime but its like they have to score the perfect goal everytime. They can't always grind out a 1-0 in the way the old Adams, Winterburn, Parlour sides could. If they get through the first few rounds of the FA cup and he puts out a half decent side they could well win that but I don't think they are European or Premiership winners.

When Wenger questioned what Hughes was doing he allegedly launched a verbal tirade against Wenger and understandably Wenger was upset.

Hughes was and is an unsophisticated bully and a manager with little or no talent but with unlimited funds to buy success. I’m sure by the end of the season Hughes will be looking for another job.

For all the cries of "diddums" and "get a grip", I'm pretty sure that you wouldn't shake hands with someone who'd just called you a "f*!%*!g w@*%!r" during the round, for what ever reason, I know I wouldn't. Hughes went into the Arsenal technical area to kick the ball up field trying to steal 5 yards on a throw in, when Wenger asked him what he was doing, he got a verbal tirade back. People are harping on about Wenger showing a lack of respect, but that has to go both ways, and Hughes saying what he did clearly shows a distinct lack of it.

At the end of a game I shake hands with whoever I'm playing with regardless of incidents - that is what shows respect.

Sportsmanship continues to defy gravity, especially in football.

If Tiger and Jesper happen to get drawn together next year do think they'll shake at the end? Of course they will because its the right thing to do.

Most overrated boss in football.

Normally quoted because he has only won 3 Premierships and 4 FA cups with Arsenal. Like there are so many managers out there that have won more ( Feel free to list them, anytime you like ;) )

He did it when Arsenal were well behind Man U as a financial force, because of his beliefs in keeping the squad he had, and feeding kids and inexpensive, but talanted, players into the squad.

At that time several other clubs had more money than Arsenal to spend, but they just wasted it - eg Liverpool, Tottenham, Newcastle, Villa, etc etc.

It was when Abramovich entered the scene that the bar was raised again, financially. Man U decided to go along with it and gambled with their whole club to raise the money they needed to potentially compete - it worked, but it could easily have been disasterous for the club as a whole.

Arsenal decided to carry on with the same financial security of putting the club first, and the team second. I've always been happy with this, coz I'll still be a fan long after Arsene and all of his players have gone.

In a time where all the top teams are having to sell out in order to compete, Arsenal are making money again after a tricky few years, but now have the best stadium in the country as security. We have a fantastic squad of players, but are still a few short of what we'd like.

There are realistically only three competitions worth winning every year, and for all this talk of failing for four or five years there is always the fact that luck plays it's part. Liverpool came back from 3 down to win, and are rightfully praised for it. Arsenal lost their keeper, managed to go one up, but eventually lost 2-1, and are just thought of as another team of losers.

In the Premiership, since Arsenal's last win, every title has been won by Chelsea, or Man Utd. Both hugely more powerfull, financially, than Arsenal are. And I honestly believe that without that terrible accident that befell Eduardo, Arsenal would have won that year.

No

Arsene's not too bad in my book

IMO as an Arsenal fan, Arsene Wenger is the best manager the premier league has seen and is irreplaceable - it is funny how so many fans of other clubs are so quick to slag him off (jealousy is such a powerfull emotion)and yet he has been linked to every big job in football, but turned them down because he knows he has started something special.

I don't think anyone predicted that Arsenal would do well this season in fact I don't think any of the so called pundits had them in the top 4, it was never tipped as going to be Arsenals season until people saw them play and realised that Arsene has put together another brilliant team on peanuts, injuries to key players are costing us, but we are getting stronger year on year. Arsenal are getting closer and will again finnish above Man City again who spent "How much this season "(more than the balance of Arsene's spending in 13 yrs).

So as an Arsenal fan I say keep your Jealousy keep your Fergies and Hugheses and we will keep Arsene thanks very much.

Jealous of winning f''k all for years......aye whatever freddie.

OK then why the anger, if Arsene is that bad and is at Arsenal, and you support someone else, thats a good thing for you, why does it bother you that as an Arsenal fan I dont agree and ouldn't have anyone else - surely that works in your favour

Only two teams have won anything of note in the last 4/5 years. Chelsea and United. Chelsea are bank rolled by a billionaire, and United are 700m in debt, and are struggling to re-finance it.

Arsenal have qualified for the knockout stages of the CL for the 10th year running, have been top 4 for 10 years in the prem, are on a sound financial footing. What is the crisis? Yep, I would like them to win something, but I am sure many supporters of other teams would love their club to be in Arsenals position. Wenger is a truly exceptional manager, who most other teams would love to employ.

The other teams who have spent silly amounts of money have also won nothing of note. Newcastle even managed to get themselves relegated.
