Anyone got any good tips for setting a good Rhythm?

I have been hitting some disaster shots lately as my rhythm is all gone to pot, dose anyone have any tips or things they do to make sure each shot is hit with a similar rhythm?

I dont use this persoanlly but a lot of people/instructors advise saying the name "arnold palmer" (or something similar) into yourself as you swing. i.e. "ar - nold" for the backswing and "palmer" for the downaswing. Alternatively, you could use a metronome to practice a rythmn on the range that suits you.

Never tried either of these so unsure of their effectiveness

Do you mean rhythm or tempo? Rhythm=smoothness, tempo=speed. If it tempo don't worry everyone has their own natural speed so leave alone. If it is the rhythm start to think smooooooth, or something. Works for me.

I'll give them a go. It's more Rhythm I would say I have a fast swing but it is quite disjointed very slow back swing and super sonic down swing. I think to hit the ball smooth I do need to decrease my tempo.

You can also get on CD.

It has a variety of Tempo's to help you find the one nearest you natural tempo. I listen to it in the car on the way to the course sometimes, and practise saying a phrase that fits the tempo, and take that to the course for the day. Works pretty well and a few on here use it too

I have the tour tempo app. Try to keep it in mind when taking my shots and it does work. I find myself singing this though.

The part at around 42 seconds is around the same as the tour tempo setting for my swing!

do you want rhythm or Riddem...if you want riddem, listen to some beenie man or sean paul. If you want Rhythm, maybe take up salsa.

Nice and slow is the way to make the ball go!

Everyone has there own pace wether its fast normal or slow swing. Key is to keep the swing speed the same back and through. Dobt tyr go back slow as nine times out of ten you rush the downswing
