I wish going cold turkey would get me out of this mess!
Went to see a shoulder surgeon today who is perfprming an op on me on New Year's Eve, for God's sake.
Due to the nature of the operation he said I will be golf & football free for SIX MONTHS!
WHAT!
Six months without kicking a ball or swinging a club...........................what am I gonna do, apart from get fat!
I can only play Football Manager for so long before going crazy.
All I have to look forward to is walking my little puppy, she's called Holly, she's a crossbreed rescue dog.................and she's bloody gorgeous.

But no golf, six miserable months..............and I'm supposed to be going to Spain in May for my annual golf trip

Sorry to appear miserable, it's only 'cos I am.

Still not right now fully

A tendon in my shoulder has been chaffed off the bone by spurs on the underside of a shoulder bone.
The surgeon is going to rough up the end of the tendon and the surface of the bone before attaching various pins into my arm bone and tying the tendon onto the bone.........if that makes sense. Then we wait for the tendon to graft itsself back onto the bone having had the rest of the shoulder filed flat so that there is no future impingement. Apparently.
A bit like this.

Good luck mate,im sure it will turn out fine.
My advice after its finished and you start physio,is to do all the sessions however small they seem.
Getting the full movement back into the shoulder is key,mine is a little restricted purely
because i thought the physio was not worth continuing after a couple of months.
Wish i had listened.

Sorry its 11.11am so you're screwed. Cant you start at 8 and see how many holes you get in before the comet strikes? I think thats what I might do.
