During the last 18 months or so I've really struggled hitting my irons losing distance and height etc going from around 140/5 yards to about 125/130.

I was starting to get depressed and thinking I would have to cough up another £900 for new irons, lighter graphite shafts etc.

Having watched a few YouTube video regarding TPI screening from No Laying Up and Iona Stephens etc I bit the bullet and booked a session with the Pro at Rushcliffe Golf Club, Chris Hall.

To me it was an amazing session, we spent 2 hours looking at my mobility or lack of, across all of my body, ankles, knees, hips, pelvis, spine, shoulders and neck.

I knew I had issues with my lats and shoulders but Chris picked up issues with my pelvis, hips and ankles.

I was given a series of exercises via the TPI app which I've been doing for the last fortnight, I've just come back from a reassessment which was part of the price.

The improvement as been amazing with improvements across my body. At the end of the session I hit a few balls with a 7 iron and the ball was carrying 148 yards I've regained the best part of 20 yards carry.

I'm now looking forward to 2025 and hoping to target an 85.

To those people who read this and have mobility/flexibility issues from sitting down etc do a TPI screening I'm sure it will help your golf

This interests me. What sort of cost are we looking at?
Costs can vary depending on what you want, ie do you want a plan put together for you after the screening.

Best thing to do is pop into the TPI website and find people who are qualified near you and find out what they charge.

You can choose how long and how frequently you can sacrifice weekly. I had 30 min drills and could do all them at home without any equipment.
If you using gym he can give you things for that too
cheers...three weeks to retirement and I'm going to have plenty of free time, so might need to do something to help make it easier to put my socks on in the morning.

If you are just doing mobility exercises they can all be done at home equipment free, though some resistance bands would be a good shout as they are a very versatile piece of equipment
