Another cut

Played the July Medal yesterday.
3 over par 74, 4 under my handicap & a nice 0.6 cut from the handicap.
1st time I've been able to call myself a 6 handicapper. So I'm well chuffed as that was my target for the year.

Can you share with us the secret of your improving handicap?

This year as per SS2:
I take over 1.5 putts per round less than L/Y.
My birdie conversion rate has improved.
I keep hitting greens.
My pitching/chipping from 100yds down to 50yds has improved and this week I didn't blow up on any holes (even managed to keep a 6 off my card).

So I suppose I've improved by hitting more greens and taking less putts.
