Forgive me being a bit non techie, on an Android phone there is Google search facility permanently fixed on the front screen, well there is on mine Moto G4. How, if at all, can I change this to Firefox, or any other browser?

Your are doing this to the app rather than the widget. Can't see it. If I drag it it goes to remove.
Press and hold the icon, and a little menu should appear - tap on the "Remove from Home" option. (Or some similar wording)Okay. THat all good, but how do I remove the piggin google one that's glued to the screen at the mo

It amuses me that someone who is 'non-techie' has decided to use an alternative to the 'standard' Browser!![]()
I have a Motorola G7 Power and can remove the widget no problem. I simply hold down the widget, you'll see "X Remove" at the top of your screen and you just drag it to that. When I said non techie, it was more a nod towards, this has got me beat and I don't know how. Looks as though I'm gonna have to put up with it. The wife can remove it on hers just Motorola seem to have this embeded. Oh well.

Does it if you hold and drag it?I think his is like mine, just holding it down on the Home page doesn't give the "remove" option.
