They do make phones with like 256gb storage now, you'd better go for that if SD cards are no more.

It's only a few phones don't have the SD card slot

And the pixel ATM only comes in 128 storage it seems

I'll no doubt next time round go to SD card less

But then I have to find the perfect phone lol

Samsung s21 I am tempted to just go for that as I have the S10

However .. in screen annoys me finger print wise makes sceen protectors a bugger when the original one they put on goes

And no sd slot

So it's like a double loss

My missus has an S21 and it weighs a tonne, although I think it might be the S21 Ultra. Not sure. She also says the fingerprint being on screen is a pain, but that seems like another thing where a lot of the phones have gone down that route.

The article I read on the Sony Xperia 5 ii said "it's a shame a phone at this price point still persists with a finger print button"

Yeah I'll consider that more then!

Article I just read on the s21 Vs S10 really said the ommison of a micro SD card is baffling

Considering for so long everyone moaned at Apple for it

2 questions about the amount of photos:
A. Are you a teenager? ?
B. Do you actually look at all those photos?
I suspect the answer to both is no, so you could probably quite easily slim these down and get a phone without a sd slot

20 years ago I would have been

No I don't however it's a massive ball ache to go through them all lol plus you never know when you need some of these bad boy memes

So what I think we have decided for now is to keep with what we got

The wife's phone got covered in drink yesterday by the daughter and went into headphone mode .. looks like rice overnight touch wood has fixed it

Her sim only deal ends in July so she can get a new one

Rather than buy my phone out and give her mine I'll wait until sept then look at what's out but the sony 5 ii is winning

What I would also suggest is keep an eye open on the HotUKDeals website as they post all sorts of deals on there. And you can set up personalised alerts for what you are looking for.

Cheers will do, the wife will most likely get better deals than me as she isn't locked to a network

Work means I have to have O2 only because our control room has no signal but the company phones are O2 so a boost box was put in.. so if I want to be able to take calls at work lol

Why go contract?I have a Note 9, and apart from the green screen issues after a software update, it’s great. Being a sim free version, it has 2 SIM card slots, one of which can be used for micro sd cards instead of a sim.
However I don’t think this version is available from a UK network as a contact phone.

The wife is sim only as I paid out for the phone for her

However the deals they throw at you are stupid ....

So take the Sony 5 £799 I think it was

But £35 a month for 2 years is £840

With that you get 150 GB data unlimited calls and texts

Yes you won't use that not saying you will that's just the offer

So 41 that costs over 2 years

Can you beat that value really?

I could buy the phone £799

But then £15 a month min for a contract let's call it

That's over £300 more over 2 years

So really contract is the way to go

I got mine through MobilePhonesDirect, my data went from 4gb to 30gb compared to my previous contract, and the price went from £24 to £26 a month. Their contracts are just so much better than the networks can offer you directly. And I still stayed with O2 for it, but O2 themselves couldn't offer the same deal to upgrade via them. ??‍♂️

I'm pretty sure you can disable the fingerprint thing, I did on my current S10. It did turn back on by default when I enabled contactless payment though.
Fwiw I'll be getting another Samsung Sxxx when my current contract is up in November, great phones ?

Can disable but the most useful thing is fingerprint sign in to banks etc

EE Actually fought to keep me this time. Saw a great Xmas deal with Vodaphone so called EE for my PAC Code and they beat it so now on 100gb data, free calls and texts with a Pixel 5 for £32.00 a month.

Exactly

I always use those type of companies

Buy outright ends up costing more I find

I've got the 4a. Best phone I've had thus far.
