Watching the highlights of the latest PGA tour game. Commentators mentioned that Adam scott who previously used an anchored putter hit 41 of 43 putts inside 10 ft. He ended up winning by one shot.
doesn't seem to be causing many problems changing over from the anchor putter.

he putted ok but hardly set the world on fire, i believe he was 15th in strokes gained putting for the tournament, good to see him win again but not convinced he has the issue fully solved yet, ultimately his win came from his work tee to green

Couldn't help noticing that both Adam Scott and Sergio Garcia were using the claw grip in the Honda Classic and came 1st and 2nd! I am not feeling so bad about using it myself now! :)

At their level, it's all about minute gains. He obviously felt that the long one gave him an extra 0.05 (for example) shot advantage per hole. That's basically a shot per round and 4 over the week, probably the difference between winning and 15th, missing the cut and top 30.

What made me start the blog was that one of the commentators said he had sunk 41 out of 43 putts in and around 10 ft, (after about 11 holes) That's not bad stats. Yup some could be 2" tap ins but even so he doesn't seem to be struggling at the moment

If you hit the ball like Scott and are 15th in strokes gained putting you're going to win a lot of golf tournaments.

Unfortunately the same cannot be said for Kegan Bradley and Vijay Singh, it's had a massive input on them

Not wanting to be picky but....

Vijay is 53 years old has made 4 out of 6 cuts this season and just finished 6th in the Honda...

Keegan has been shocking for a couple of years. Isn't this week the anniversary of his handbags with Miguel?

Delc I use it myself, I changed to it half way through last year. I find it works well on fast greens and short putts but I struggle with it on slow greens, which is what we have at the moment. The pace of greens those blokes play on certainly make it a decent choice. I may go back to a standard grip for long slow putts until the greens speed up. Any thoughts? Are you okay with it on slow greens?
