An Eagle

My only eagle this year was when playing a quick 9 holes on my tod. Boomed a drive down the middle of the 16th (playing back 9 holes) and knocked a 6iron to 2 feet. Typical that no one was there to see it

Been playing golf for over 30 years and have never had an Eagle. I have putted for one more than 20 times and have always missed. Well done to you though!

Is "drain" the correct description for tapping in a 3 1/2 ft putt?

Probably not. But I hardly think 'tapping in' is correct either - it certainly wouldn't be a gimmee in a match! Try 'sunk'!

I've converted both a 12 footer (par 5) and a 1 footer (par 4) for eagle and neither were trivial, given the circumstances! The 45 footer eagle putt that lipped out last week would definitely have been a 'drained' one though!

Remember it well.

You were crap after that though,:) but not as bad as me.:(

Nice par on the 18th though, I drained a great long putt with a big break, so I can start & finish well, just need to sort out the other 16 in the middle
