All winners this year post.

I think I might do alright this year. I'm not as obsessive having had a year off and am just enjoying my golfand so far feel more relaxed on the course. Here's hoping it continues into the new season :)

PS Am I technically not allowed to post that as I've won nowt so far? ;)

Considering yours is post 22 and nobody's won anything yet, I think you're safe ;)

You can join the forum meet on the 12th March if you like. Where do you play. My first ever Club was Reading so I know the Berkshire area.

I play at Calcot Pk. I'd love to join in but I have an evening engagement that day. What time's the Forum meet and what time's the expected finish?

We are teeing off from 8.30 followed by a quick lunch, so plenty of time to be back home. You can have an early tee time.

Played Calcot plenty of times. Lovely course. I remember in 1976 when the pond on the par 3 dried up.

Sounds good. What's the format / cost etc. PM me if you like.

Seems that everyone is talking about 2014 triumphs, am I allowed to mention H4H? :whoo:

As for this year, Smiffy may have me marked as a favourite/bandit but I haven't hit a ball for 4 weeks now so I think the race to Hillside events may well all be just good forum meets, with a £10 surcharge on the green fee. :(

I won in a team event with fellow forumites at Blackmoor in September, I'm unbeaten at Blackmoor, played it twice, won both :smirk:

Won a board comp (Corbett Cup) in July.

Won another board comp Root Putter in January (2015).

1st in Div2 February (2015) Stableford.

2015 is YOTF

Guess that makes me the first then?

Played in our annual 3 club challenge today. Won it last year and defended my title today, 39 points! Very happy indeed :). Played the same as last year; Hybrid, 7i, Putter, works perfectly for me! :)

Looking forward to a very productive season and hoping to get cut to 12.

Looks like its the year of the Silver Fox and not the Fish at Coventry GC :o

Congrats Silver Fox!

Pretty sure January & my Feb 1st comp came before today, but hey-ho :mmm:

I played in that 3-club challenge also, didn't get off the tee well enough today though and with only an 8i I didn't have the armoury to scramble in some strong cold headwind at times, resorted to taking the driver off the fairway at times, sometimes it came off, sometimes not, my playing partner had 38 points and left a lot of 3-putts out their, both good scores in the conditions and with only 3-clubs, well done TheSilverFox89

For me, it's simply work in progress and the fish will be too slippery for any old flea bitten silver fox

:smirk:

Does taking a pound off liverbirdie last Sunday count?

Also taught him a lesson on how to chip afterwards. Three goes, closest to pin wins the point. Beat him 3 - 2 with a 25 yard short sided full lob shot to win.
