All winners this year post.

Won our first 5 mixed greensomes in winter league and currently only undefeated team in comp.Three more games to go.Will go nicely with our mixed foursomes Morton Cup win last year, which was a k/of event.

Pretty sure January & my Feb 1st comp came before today, but hey-ho :mmm:

I played in that 3-club challenge also, didn't get off the tee well enough today though and with only an 8i I didn't have the armoury to scramble in some strong cold headwind at times, resorted to taking the driver off the fairway at times, sometimes it came off, sometimes not, my playing partner had 38 points and left a lot of 3-putts out their, both good scores in the conditions and with only 3-clubs, well done TheSilverFox89

For me, it's simply work in progress and the fish will be too slippery for any old flea bitten silver fox

:smirk:

Are you going for the help for heroes trophy this year? Have you won it before??

.... Also stop posting photos, you're scaring off new members :o....:D

Woo-Hoo!

OK so not success on the course as such. Quite the reverse. October to March we have a great foursomes eclectic comp with a lower (0-15 hcp) and higher (+15) paired by draw on every last Sunday of the month. It's a brilliant event and fantastic for mixing up groups and encouraging people to play with others they wouldn't normally play with. The clubhouse is rammed for the presentation as it's staggered tees around the course meaning we all finish within 45 mins of one another.

After 11 holes we were 11 points  and in dire peril of getting the booby (walk of shame in front of packed clubhouse to receive a Pinnacle each). But we rallied and finished with not an exactly brilliant but nevertheless a safe 28 - so blushes spared. But...

i then proceeded to win a Vokey Wedge wedge in the Pro's Draw and my PP won £75 in the Tree Fund Draw.

Talk about getting a right blindingng result from the jaws of disaster :D

PokerJoke has decreed that I should mention that I won the East Midlands Region Hillside qualifier. I also took 16 notes from those youngsters who kept complaining about the cold and wet.

As you can appreciate I wanted this thread to be a wall of fame type of thread.
Comps that are worth winning and have a deep meaning to their club with lots of
history.
Forum meets are great to because of the banter and newbies can see what there all about.

I don't want to be judge and jury but I believe a 3 club comp is not worthy just my feeling.
So I believe Rosecott is the first worthy comp winner of 2015 but of course theres a long way
to go and comps will get bigger and better and more prestigious.
I will start a table on the next post just add to it as and when.
I believe a monthly medal or a forum meet should be minimum standard.

Sorry mate didn't see that.
Just confirming that you didn't actually win the comp.
Not sure if divisions are worthy.
Plus it was a stableford.

Like I say I don't want to be judge and jury.
Need others feedback on that and will get back to you.:)

I've taken the money from my chums the last two weeks in a row, and I'm leading our winter eclectic... not sure if they count as wins though :) I think my crowd are getting a bit annoyed with me, as I shot 82 on Saturday. That's another personal best, and a net 60 :o

Our first medal isn't until the 28th March, so I've got plenty of time to wait until I get a go a proper competitive golf.

I won in a team event with fellow forumites at Blackmoor in September, I'm unbeaten at Blackmoor, played it twice, won both :smirk:

NW OOm winner - won five of my matchplay matches, then had my best ever round with a -1 gross at Wallasey on the final day to secure it.

H4H - Won the best stableford-handicaporsomethingamajiggy (2nd best prize on the day).

Lee park - won my second ever board comp (but not a major).
