Afternoon all, just looking for a bit of feedback and consensious

I know the old cliche of you've lifted your head when you top shank or hook slice etc

However I wanted to get an idea as to whether you actually see the club face connect with the ball, as it's seems I haven't been looking hard enough!!

Last night I slowed down the swing a made sure I actually saw the club face connect with the ball, to amazing effect. Cleaner crisper shots that seemed effortless and I seemed to gain a 1 club distance. (bobbed then2nd but finished with 43 points )

I'm just concerned this could be luck and to the detriment of something else, ie by doing the above have I made it more difficult for myself?

Look forward to hearing your views

Thanks in advance

Started doing this myself a couple of months ago after reading about it from a low handicapper on here, think it was Snelly.
The best bit of advice I have ever been given. Since doing this my ball contact has improved greatly and my handicap has come down from 17.6 to 15.3:)

the only real danger is in tensing muscles to hold the head's position, and 'locking the head' to the detriment of your shoulder turn through to a finish (or to the detriment of your health!).

an appropriate focus on the ball through impact is a very constructive step - some don't seem to be able to do it with a putter, let alone a driver!
