A help or a hindrance

Sometimes asks how I got on and feigns interest.

As long as I don't play twice in a weekend (other than once in a blue moon) then she's reasonably happy.

She sometimes asks how I got on, and when I tell her I was 10 over handicap again she says well done. At least it means she is talking to me.

HID is very supportive and never moans when I'm out playing or practicing. She's happy to mix at the club and well liked up there too. Been known to walk around too and I consider myself quite lucky all in all

My wife is much happier with me on a golf course than going to footy home & away and mixing with my old (still) mates or sitting in the pubs all day & night, so she is very supportive and encourages me to play as often I can, even on away trips, in-fact, a little too much encouragement at times :mmm: She always asks how I've done and has never quibbled about any of my constant purchases, I think she now prefers this version of me :smirk:

Margaret is a very understanding non golfer.
Every Saturday morning, from under the duvet, she now says "enjoy your game".
It used to be "play well".

My Mrs is very understanding and supportive. She'll often text me during a medal giving me words of encouragement. Little does she know that I'm having a mini meltdown on the course!

See I think that's awesome , HID will often go for long walks up on the downs if it's a nice night after work to shut down from work while I go to the range. I've suggested why doesn't she come for a 9 hole walk, nice scenery, ducks deers etc, nice quiet country air but she just doesn't seem keen.

I reckon she's off doggin while I'm at the range

yeah it's pleasant mate! She's not got a bad swing either and she's sort of nudging at me to find my little brothers clubs for her(he doesn't play).

Our front 9 is flat and pretty short so we're normally round in like 1 hour 20 minutes ish, she doesn't mind coming and walking round for that long but won't do our treacherous mountain on the back 9!

My wife likes holidays but I don't like travel. She now looks for courses to encourage me a bit.

This year was Canada - Jasper, Bear Mountain and Cordova Bay. August is Harris and Askernish. August 2017 looks like East Canada, Newfoundland and Greenland.

I think that is helping.
