5 a Side

Played my first game in 6 months due to Shin Splints ,was a bit late so had to play for the young team, bearing in mind i'm 40 i was strolling round Maldini sitting at the back letting the whipper snappers do all the running, superb.So the plan is to be late every week.
Anyone else on here still play 5 or 6 a Side?

A group of us still play twice a week, we have played together for best part of 12 years and the youngest is 41.

As we all played junior or amature football when we were younger it is still very competative as all have a great desire to win.

Ours is the same ,very competative one of the guys is 59 and fit as a fiddle,all the guys in the old guys team played pro football for the local teams and junior as well so its good hours run about.

We can have anything from 8 to 15 per week. Any number above below 10 is bad as there is no rest! We have also played against our German twin town home and away.

Play twice a week every winter for the last 6/7 years. Is pretty competitive as every one plays more than one sports as a decent level so non one likes losing.

I do it mainly for the fitness before golf starts as find gym, running etc very boring.
