2025 Formula 1 season

Liam Lawson dead last, following a load of RB drivers who can't cut it in a decent car.
It's you need a great driver in a good enough car.
It's never been just about the car.
Liam Lawson is a rookie, no experience, should be nowhere near those cars, neither should some of those other rookies, outside the sponsorship they bring with them.

You put Sainz in that car he will be top 8, it's always been all about the car. You are just wrong, never has a a great driver in a poor car won the world championship but there have been a fair few poor drivers who have.

I don't think I need to say anymore, but there is room below for you to get the last word.

Sainz who binned it under the safety car in a half decent Williams🤣😅 and top 8 great still nowhere near. Max.
I know you can't put a great driver in a crap car and expect wins, see Lewis at Merc last couple of years .
The point is we get told it's all about the car, which is patently untrue otherwise , albon, perez, bottas would have had real serious title challenges.
Only roseberg managed to beat Hamilton and that was too much for him and called it a day.
It's a lot about the car, but not all.

If the Red Bull is as slow everywhere else as is today in Shanghai, this could be a McLsren vs McLaren for the driver's WC.

And my money would be on Piastri.

Was the usual modern F1 style race i.e. only action at the front was on lap 1 then it was a tyre deg competition. Pretty boring as usual.

Bernie was deffo on to something all those years ago when he suggested soaking the track to make things a bit more interesting. Wet races are almost always super exciting conpared to the norm...

Pretty dull race for the most part, some excitement from Landos breaks at the end.
China is usually pretty dull tbh.

Then it just becomes a wet race. Another of Bernie's stupid ideas, F1 teams are good at the predictable stuff. Thats what makes wet races such fun, the complete randomness of when the rain may or not come and how the teams deal with it , from Ferrari being rubbish to rbr nailing it
There are great races and dull races, same as many sports

Hate it on the last lap, when the leading driver is clearly in front, the cameras focus on him as he approaches the finish line, and continue to focus on him a decent amount of time after.

Meanwhile, there could actually be drivers fighting each other behind, at which point we are robbed at watching how that fight is going on the last, crucial lap.

It would never be allowed of course but you should check back on what Bernie suggested i.e. it would be random and the teams wouldn't know in advance if/when the tracks would get wet...

I remember it well, just another of his stupid ideas. Probably not his most stupid, but still.

Your original reply suggests you do not remember it at all, but no matter as it's not important.

Night races was another one of his ideas, that seems to be doing OK...

Predictable.... He said theyd get a 2 minute warning. .... That's plenty of time to swap to wets.

Ferrari doing Ferrari things again. Both Hamilton and Leclerc DQ'd following the usual post-race checks. Alpine's Gasly also DQ'd for a technical infringement.
