You obviously don’t know as much about F1 as you think if you don’t know who Lord Hesketh was and who he gave a chance to. Likewise Ken Tyrell with his 6 wheel car.
 
Given that some say it's all about the car, it's surprising how bad Liam Lawson has been in the RB. Dead last in sprint qualy while max is in 2nd. He needs to fair much better over weekend .

He wont be there very long if he doesnt improve. Red Bull cannot afford to only have 1 driver in the mix this year.

Delighted to see Lewis back at the front, but let's not forget that he's only there because Lando cocked up the exit of turn 13 on both of his flying laps.

Also, seeing as how it looks as if the Red Bull is a bit of a dog this year, Verstappen worked miracles to stick it on P2. Don't like the guy's attitude, but you can't deny his talent.

I agree, McLaren still the car to beat . I'm looking forward to turn 1 in the sprint 🤣
 
Magnificent win for Hamilton in the Ferrari. Led from lights to flag, managed the tyres very welll up front and never in any danger.

Quali for the race proper should be interesting. Both Maccas munched their tyres as did Verstappan. Leclerc was the fastest down the field in the other Ferrari at the end, they seemed to make the tyres last the best.
 
Only Russell nailed his final lap in Q3 but Piastri will be delighted with his first pole.

Have a feeling.Norris will get past Russell OK, will be interesting to see if the Ferraris can get up to P3 and P4.

Same old Nonsense.

Max is an excellent driver in the best car (Past 3.5 seasons), he will get more out of an average car than most but put him in an average car and another excellent driver in the RB car and they would have won 4 world championships.

Any top driver with the best car will win the championship and any great driver in a not the best car will not.

Generally you don't win a World Championship no matter how good you are with an average car however you have more chance of winning a world championship if you are a decent driver with the best car.

It's always about the car

Liam Lawson dead last, following a load of RB drivers who can't cut it in a decent car.
It's you need a great driver in a good enough car.
It's never been just about the car.
