2025 Formula 1 season

The wife’s family have some sort of membership at Silverstone where they get entry into a stand and some enclosure - they go up regularly and used to enjoy the F1 but they stopped going and gave the tickers and access for that weekend to others

They go and see a lot of the other racing because for them it feels and sounds like proper race cars when they go past

The sound is different, still ok though. I've been going to a different race each year last few years and they are always sold out.
It's as popular as ever.

Just seen the first MotoGP race of the season. Marquez looks ominously dominant.

I think it might be possible that this year F1 is going to be more competitive than MotoGP for the first time in heaven knows how many years.

Maybe you got so annoyed at the first line, you actually forgot to read the 2nd line where it was said that F1 will possibly be more competitive than MotoGP this season - which is a compliment to F1. Read things properly and you will see that the post was relevant to this thread.

I'd have to care about MotoGP for it to matter.

Interesting news about Cadillac joining F1 in 26. Be good to see a new team on the grid. With the new regs too could be a Mercedes moment, I doubt that though

Well was indeed carnage with a spin out in the formation lap! Poor calls from Ferrari as ever but fantastic to see the Williams doing well again. Maybe some havnt seen the results yet so I'll wait a bit .

Great to see Lando take the W , absolute mayhem at times.
Shame that sainz binned it under the SC as the Williams really looks like a decent car again, as shown by Albon bringing home P4.
Ferrari still can't get strategy right, but the car was off the pace anyway.

Appreciate the thoughtfulness not to give spoilers, but frankly anyone who doesn't want to know the result surely won't be looking at the thread? If they are daft enough to do that, they get what they deserve.

Entertaining race, BTW. Last few laps was a nail biter.

Yes I'd waited a bit on this one as some may have recorded it due to the time diff. I didn't watch it till late afternoon but did look at the result beforehand

Which ever engine it was that made them sound like proper f1 cars

They certainly don't scream like they used to.
