I was wondering the same thing....did he pay the fine? Was he allowed to play LIV events?

Any clarification on why he's allowed to play DPWT events would be appreciated.
The full list of fine payers are here.

Anyway, has anyone seen or heard have Sky Sports gained access to the US Open golf ?
Recall some chat earlier in year that they hadn't secured it yet.
Guess still unknown. I've fired up the Now TV membership anyhow (see random irritations!) for the upcoming PGA Championship , and will keep an eye open for news.

What is it with Sky commentary droning on how good McIlroy is. Then he has 3 bogeys 😂
I think we can all agree he is a good player though? Even good players get bogies and have disappointing rounds.

Whereas, if they ever had the chance to commentate on me, and I had one of my best starts with 3 birdies and nothing worse than par for first 9 holes, I can guarantee they wouldn't be droning on about how good a player I was. We'd all be waiting for the hole I score a 10+ on :)

Great win for Wyndham Clark yesterday, as a former Denver resident I was so pleased he won. Faultless performance. Also a great win for Adrian Meronk in Italy. Golf is evolving & those two are worthy champions. Nice stories too.

Editorial piece, no doubt written to gain a reaction...

Unfortunately it lost all credibility with its opening paragraph "CHARLOTTE — On the Wednesday of Players Championship week in 2020, I sat down with Paul McGinley to talk about the Ryder Cup, and he was so intelligent and thorough"

There's an oxymoron if ever I've heard one 😂

A good win for Meronk but after watching him a few times in the last couple of months I believe he needs to focus on his putting. He misses quite often from inside six feet but does well with long putts.

Looks like there's 18 LIV guys got a spot in next weeks PGA Championship - I'm looking forwards to this weekends event in Tulsa - decent crowds expected of around 10,000 a day - and it'll be interesting to see who's in form going into next weeks major. It does seem like the LIV series schedule is setting up the players with some good preparation for a few of the majors.

Is it not the same on the main tours

The Byron Nelson before the PGA Tour

The Canadian Open before the US Open

then there is the Scottish Open before The Open to give the players the links experience - LIV don’t appear to have a links event before

Well who's playing at the Byron Nelson that you fancy to win next week - it's hardly a stacked field?
And to be fair Phil, I did say a 'few' of the majors. Playing links golf one weekend could be the polar opposite of playing links golf the following weekend here in the UK, but I take your point.

They'll all just be at Turnberry lets be honest :ROFLMAO:

How does that compare to a "normal" PGA Tour event? Not a major or one of the elevated events but a run of the mill tour event. Genuine question, not a dig as I have absolutely no idea.
