I went to the Scottish Open yesterday and enjoyed it immensely, everything bar the weather at the end of the day.

With the crowds being sparser than an Open crowd it was easy to get up close and personal with any of the players. The course was very impressive, with the holes down by the coast being the pick. It certainly looks a tough track for the average golfer, although it is highly unlikely I'll ever find out.

All in all a really good day out.

The American official was desperate to give him one!
Absolutely. Some of these rules officials are browbeaten by the professionals into giving in.
We need a latter day John Paramour (RIP) to look at the situation, make a decision and stick to it. And take no no truck from professionals who expect relief from every bad shot they make.
Thankfully the chief ref was having none of it.

Brilliant from MacIntyre , hope he keeps the form up and gets himself into the Ryder Cup team

But what a lovely finish from Rory - excellent two final holes. He ground it out today

One of our trainee pro’s is playing in a 3 day PGA competition at Bowood this week and we are following his progress online. The leader after day 1 is -11, completed the back 9 in 8 under 😳. Leads by 7 shots. At the other end of the table, one poor guy is +21. Just goes to show we can all have a bit of a mare sometimes

James Ruth is the guy at the top of the leaderboard - many will recognise him from watching Dan Hendricksens channel. (y)

That's one hell of a round from him.

I know Ben Hall, who shot a bogey free 68. He's tied 2nd, and 7 shots back! Great round by the leader.
