Unlucky Mashie, it's a tough putt that one, great effort.

Someone needs to tap this baby in and get us moving again, we're on the clock for slow play and the group behind are getting a touch moody.

Downhill
HUmps and bumps all the way so we need to carry to the green
168 yards to the flag and the green is wider than it is deep but fairly flat.
There's a pond short right and a severe drop-off into deep rough if we go long
Wind is off the right, blowing the ball towards the pond.

With the wind in the direction, for me, it's a solid 7 iron as it's downhill.
Line it up, settle and swing.
Good contact, it's drawing a little in the wind but finds the green about 20 feet left and pin high.
I'll take that in this breeze.

Fairly flat putt left for anyone struggling - get the pace right and it'll drop.

I'll skip ahead and get the orders in at the halfway hut to save a bit of time unless we want to let these whingers through.

This looks tricky, a good burrow downhill from left to right.
Aim 3ft left and a gentle stroke going good but just lipps out on the downside, tap in for a par 3.
onto the next.

Onto the 9th a par 4 dogleg left with trees both sides and bunkers short right at 180 and left at 220, runout on the fairway is 260 leaving 145 to the front of the green.
Big dog out and miss the right bunker just and it runs into the first cut with 175 to the front of the green.
Green slopes right to left and front to back with a bunker behind and one front left.

I'll take this but it's settled down a bit so I'll hit my 22deg hybrid. It's a terrible swing though and I smother it. It bumbles it's way along the ground finished 40yds from the pin on the fairway. It needs someone with a shiny new set of wedges and I think it's about time RichardC stopped grinning and showed what those Vokeys are made of. No pressure Richard...
