1st Post Nerves!!

I have played ‘occasionally’ for a few years, mainly hacking my way round local P&P courses with mates but started taking more of a interest and playing regularly this time last year, I joined a club last September and obtained a handicap of 26 which involved playing 3 rounds on the windiest and wettest days of November!! Now my football career is coming to an end and summers well on its way, I intend to bring it down!!
Looking forward to catching some banter and discussing my weekend exploits over the coming weeks/months.

Cheers
excuse the length got carried away - nerves!!

Welcome Steve, very similar to myself with regards the playing side, and I decided to take the plunge in March last year and join a club. Like you I was given an h/c of 26. Have managed to get it down to 24.8 but presently off 25. I know I should be better, but my inconsistency jumps up every round (different holes each time) but I will beat it. Many different playing partners say I should get down to 20.

You should enjoy it on here, a lot of different topics spoken about by a very knowledgeable crowd, and look out for the GM meetings which sound excellent, unfortunately I haven't been able to get the time off to get to one yet.

As for the 79? My shout is that it is your average driving distance.

Welcome and enjoy.

Thanks everyone
