After trying to think up a funny/golf related username which hadn’t all ready been used I ended up using the super original username that is my name.....Genius!!

I stumbled across the forum over xmas when, like most of you was stuck indoors because of the snow. I have gradually found myself addicted, viewing posts on the train to and from work, at work (obviously!) and at home. Is this normal??

I have played ‘occasionally’ for a few years, mainly hacking my way round local P&P courses with mates but started taking more of a interest and playing regularly this time last year, I joined a club last September and obtained a handicap of 26 which involved playing 3 rounds on the windiest and wettest days of November!! Now my football career is coming to an end and summers well on its way, I intend to bring it down!!
Looking forward to catching some banter and discussing my weekend exploits over the coming weeks/months.

Cheers
excuse the length got carried away - nerves!!

oh yes, the addiction is quite normal, though you will find it reaches a peak at those times that you are prevented from exercising your will on a small whitish, spheroid.

there is no cure, no hope - you have given in to the darkside, and it's permanent

keep one eye on the arrange a game forum, there is a charity match heading your way-ish (Nazeing) in the summer.

I can vouch for that Steve. Is great to see what goes on over here. As I work from home and (accidentally... honest...) made the forum the home page on my web browser, I look at it quite often!!

I too hacked round P&Ps, but now am ready for the step up. being on here has helped with that and I'm will help in the critical coming months!

Cheers. happy reading (and posting!)

Welcome to Golfers Annonymous :) I've only been on here a few weeks and I'm well and truely addicted. Actually it's a bit of a relief to find I'm not the only person totally addicted to golf. I was starting to think there was something wrong with me :)

welcome along pal.
It's a boring name though, I spent hours thinking up mine :D
