Hi David,
Great news that you are back playing!
Having had a fair bit of time off with injury though I was just wondering what other interests you have/sports you follow? What would you have done if you hadn't been a professional golfer for instance?
Thanks
Howdy all, been on extended holiday with the missus, unfortunately no golf - so have missed the forum chat!!
I carry two wedges Titleist Vokeys 54 and 58 - love'em!!
Also perhaps just keep your opponent's score and ask him not to tell you how many points you have got - because it's my experience that one can get very over-excited and then very nervous if you get a great start and then you begin really worrying about your score!
So the best way is just to go...
I'm with Furyk on this one I have to say - these players are running to the far-east for some extra cash that hey hardly need and not supporting the Tour's flagship event.
Els is in with a chance of winning the OoM and it shows a total lack of respect for that if he's not there.
Schedule-wise...
Re: Volvo Masters - the GM effect
Would be wicked to see Rose finally win again this year - is there anybody more deserving of a victory than that man?? I don't think so!
It's a fair point Mutlee and have to say I'm with you.
Anyway, let's be frank all we want to do is discuss golf and not get into any murky waters, surely it's not worth the trouble! I mean remember the Sheffield Wednesday fans being taken to court over their comments on BBC Fivelive?
Take a...
No Birdieman!! Don't leave, it won't be nearly as much fun!! There's always more to say...
Also Cosworth there are prizes now for getting your posts in the magazine apparently – sweet!
I agree with Parmo I think so many of us take it far too seriously and need to remember you are doing it for fun. I've got a mate who plays every spare second and is offf 1 but I genuinely can't see how he enjoys it - he spends the whole time in a rage about something even when it looks to me...
Howdy - been on a few trips and been missing the banter! Videoing your swing is what it's all about - although watching can be painful! If you are prepared for the worse - i was big time - then it can still be a gd surprise though!
It's weird though isn't it because you never actually come across anyone who admits to playing slowly and in fact everyone riles against it yet there are so many people who do it!
Weird
Is there anything more annoying than slow play on the golf course?
I played on Friday and it took us nearly 6 hours to get round...that's ludicrous!! Was so angry just couldn't enjoy the round, which is a massive shame when you play once a week.
What would be a suitable punishment for such...
