Your season ahead

quite a busy year and some quality courses, started yesterday at Woodhall, I have lined up Lindrick, Ganton, Beau Desert St Andrews old and new plus as many clubs comps family commitments allow.

Got Woodhall Spa end of next month and Portugal in October, other than spending a few hours a week in the short game area other hard-fast plans! Hopefully play the H4H day just gotta keep an eye on expenditure so close to getting on that plane!

I'm off in a couple of weeks on a golfing holiday (4 games booked). I've 6 opens penciled in, plus the H4H day. If 'm lucky enough in the draw I'll be at hillside for the meeting of the KOK's.

Then there's all the club knockouts that I usually enter. Looks like a busy year.

Planned a very quiet year a month ago but that's in the bin already.

Basic club qualifiers, trophies and county events are proving hard to accomodate. Some of the monthly medals are gonna go the way of the Dodo/Bubble shaft. Been asked to play on a couple of club teams also which is an added consideration. Not complaining, mind, it's great to be asked. Only now need to convince Mrs Spear-Chucker all of this is essential for my health and welbeing without invoking the saucepan-to-head clause...

Apart from the Inverness trip we've nothing else booked in. Will probably do the club exchange days when they are announced though. Don't really feel the need to play anywhere else than home as that's challenging.

Good bit lined up with society , top golfer series & club .. hopefully be representing the club aswell all going well , ye wont recognise most of the names so real point in naming them all :D

Looking forward to Irish Craic Classic in july esp Concara Wood on the Friday , back sticks on a smashing course , should be some "fun" scores on that day

I have a lot of society days planned this year at some top venues, this year i shall be playing

Woburn (all 3)
Woodhall Spa
Hoylake
West Hill
East Berks
Ashridge
Saunton (x2)

i am also on 2 golf holidays to Spain and Portugal

this is in addition to moving clubs from the 1st April.

safe to say i am excited about 2014

North Berwick on Sunday with IanG, Wayman and Fairway Dodger
Scotland KoKs on 30th at St Andrews New

then a big gap until

H4H @ North Hants

Not sure I'll get loads of golf in this year, so I've no great plans. I'll just take what I can get.

I have the Inverness trip to look forward to as well as Lindrick, Moortown and rockcliffe. Can also now add Hillside thanks to KOK :whoo:. I don't think I will be booking anything else in, it's my first year with a handicap so I will be entering as many comps as possible at my home course and bring down the handicap a little.

Which clubs are you moving between Mendie?

Got 4 society days scheduled, first one in April at Chart Hills, other 3 venues TBC, off to Vilamoura end of April playing the Old, Victoria and Millenium courses.

apart from that I will be playing as many comps at my new club as I can, hopefully every weekend, looking to get my handicap down a bit by the end of the season (target 12)

Signed up to play in the summer knockouts (singles and pairs), and I've put my name forward for a couple of the inter club matches that are on the board already.

Also looking to play in the club foursome knockout comp over the summer, not played a lot of foursomes in the past but have enjoyed it when I have.

basically looking to play as much golf as I can get away with without seriously lacing my job or my marriage at serious risk.........

My plans are to play in as many of our Club comps as I can, Play in all the Interclub matches, Singles Stableford comp every Wednesday,at our place, and get in as many forum meets as I can on here, My Phone calendar is going to be busy,busy,busy.... Good Luck to you all for the coming season......

Got nothing planned as yet, winter prep didn't go too well so didn't commit to anything as like murph, I didn't want to feel I had to play when I really didn't want to.

Got a lads weekend away at the Scottish open and 11 societies if I fancy it, but if I'm honest I fancy playing a few more courses with forum regulars and just want to play as many comps as possible this year. Need to work out if I'm going to rejoin my club full time next season (May subs due) as we are planning a house move.

I'm planning my golf this year around my cycling calendar. I'm picking the events I want to ride in then seeing what's left to play golf.....priorities are definitely changing this year :)

Have loads lined up aswell as playing as much as possible at my new club.
