Would really like to hear how you plan your golfing year.

I have already planned mine right up to HFH,just to Is to be dotted and Ts to be crossed.
Using my GM calendar I have now got a few thing on every month.
From Woodhall Spa next month, K of K final day, around 6 away opens, club championship,pro-am and HFH this
is going to be an expensive year on top of my fees.
Have you got your season mapped out yet?

I only played a few comps last year so this season I plan to play in as many as possible and get that HCP down. We also have a few season long events at the Belfry which include the race to the Brabazon so I would like to make it into that. My favourite form of golf is matchplay so I'm hoping to enter a few matchplay comps also. Lastly I am going to play the club championship this year.

Sadly cash is going to be tight up to summer at least. Have money put aside for my annual membership so my plan is to pitch up at my club and play. Hoping that circumstances will free up some cash to at least do.the H4H day

No plans, taking this year as it comes and not committing to anything in advance. Will wait and see if I remain fit and if I am will pick up games as and when I can, whether they are at my club, with forumites, open comps, pro-ams etc. Only definite in the diary currently is my Dads day at Brocket Hall later this month

I've got a few society days planned including our weekend away in September and a couple of opens at Mill Ride and East Berks. Apart from that, it's just whatever is on at the club.

i have 12 society days pencilled in, 3 weekends away (hill valley, woodall spa and worksop), gainsborough, cooden beach, hunstanton and my weekly competitions to keep me on the course. add to this bounce games on fridays from April and the sunday fiddle I run it could be a busy year

Starting next week at Fairhaven, then the following week at Silloth and Southerness, I've pretty much booked all my away days up to the H4H day. Going to play as many club comps as possible with the primary focus of playing to my new (tbc) handicap, with the possibility of dropping it slightly more towards Cat 1 status.. With any luck I'm hoping to finish the season on at most 6..

Oh, and I'm striving not to finish last in the NWOoM Matchplay competition, along with postponing the operation on my elbow till the end of the year...

I am mainly planning on playing like a numpty. I hate planning, so only 1 date in the diary so far, the Berkshire thing with richart. I might do some other stuff as a late entry, depending on how keen I am nearer the date. I often book stuff, and then feel I have to turn up on the day, even though I'm not sure I really want to.

H4H is in the diary.
Other than that it'll probably be continuing to put Fragger to the sword.
Might be able to get a couple of away days later in the year.

Nice to see you so positive though:)

Nothing in the diary as I am still so into being a daddy that my little lady comes first. However with my lack of interest in new clubs I should have some money to play some other non home club bits.

Full diary, all competitive stuff - apart from one friendly 4ball @ West Hill in May (although we'll have a few quid on that too)

Ganton
Hankley
St Georges Hill
Saunton x2
Worksop
Ashridge

To name but a few :)

I tend not to plan my year, just take it as it comes.

I've committed to playing more this year with more away days included.

The only real thing I have penciled in is Firest of Arden in June, other than that, nowt.

That is a lovely lineup!!!

Found out that my 6 day member ship didn't cover comps on Saturdays, should've realised really, but I'm going to pay the difference, become a 7 day member and get into as many comps as possible. That means a full diary up until December, starting with a comp next Saturday, KOK at Rockcliffe on the 23rd, an invite down to Wynard with the NE lads and Sunday knock abouts for practice. Oh and spending a lot of time in between doing DIY and with wor lass to keep her sweet :)
