1) Please describe your vision for TaylorMade over the next 5 years?

2) What have you changed in TaylorMade since undercover boss, what impact did it have initially, and are the changes still measured?

1. Why don't CEO's ever have unusual haircuts. Can I recommend the early 80's "flock of seagulls" barnet style. It may get you noticed in big CEO grand dinners, somewhere like at the Waldorf Astoria, I can imagine. 2. Why don't you sell "touch up" paint with the drivers? Whenever I buy trainees (sneakers to you) they are always trying to sell me the cleaner as well. Peter Hurst, Liverpool (very near to Skelmersdale, me and Bluewolf are nearly neighbours, dontcha know).

With so many different loft ranges for iron sets - and an ever increasing desire for technical accuracy - will we ever see a move to the more transparent identication of using degrees rather than the tradional single digit numbers? If not, will the industry ever standardise loft ranges for a particular iron so as to provide an easier to read status of which tour players really are the big hitters?

Hi all

I think this opportunity might interest a few forumers!

Next week I am interviewing Mark King the CEO & President of TaylorMade and I want you to the put the questions to him

There's always a lot of discussion on the forum whenever TM launch new product so sure many of your will want to know how they decide when to launch product, how they measure performance claims, how TM go about naming products etc etc. Perhaps you're a big TM fan and want to ask Mark about what might be coming in the future. No topic is off limits!

Look forward to reading the questions (as ever please include your real name/home town for use if we publish in the magazine)

Thanks
Mike

Looking the PGA tour stats, Dustin Johnson Has the following:

2008 Avg Dist 309.7 Fairways 53.05%
2009 Avg Dist 308.3 Fairways 55.4%
2010 Avg Dist 308.5 Fairways 56.35%
2011 Avg Distance 314.2 Fairways 57.17%
2012 Avg Distance 310.2 Fairways 56.3%
2013 Avg Distance 305.8 Fairways 53.36%

Question: In the 5 years since Dustin Johnson joined the tour his average driving distance is 0.2m less than what it was on his first year on tour without much gain in accuracy. Your marketing for all of your recent releases appears to suggest he is hitting the ball further with every TM release. Are you deliberately misleading your customers?

TaylorMade have launched 3 new drivers during my wife's pregnancy and we've only just had the 20 week scan, can I get odds on there being at least another 3 before the sprog arrives :mmm:

Have Taylormade ever considered producing a cheaper range of clubs for beginner or casual players?
As a new golfer I've noticed there only seems to be the choice between top end clubs and more budget brands, unless of course you buy second hand.

Those are some interesting figures, would love to see some comments on them.

From outside the ropes it looks like Tour golf is a battleground between TM and Nike. Given that Nike appear to be following a similar rise in acceptance and use that TM once had, how do you keep TM ahead of them as far as getting new players to use TM kit.

Great question!
