Your Golf Clubs Membership Renewals - How Much?!

£770 this year which included £50 bar levy, SGU and Renfrewshire Golf Union dues.

I really grudge paying RGU anything as they do nothing for me. It pays the jollies for the county team and coaching.

Overall I think its decent value though!

Ours is £690 a year, two full courses and a 9 holer so represents good value.

That make me so jealous!!!

Toad if I can persuade the Mrs to move to Perth will you propose me?????

Think ours is £820, but i've been a temp member the last 6 months and they want an £1800 joining fee to become a full member.

The £820 is good value considering the quality of the course, but just can't justify the joining fee with a baby on the way.

Pleasantly surprised by the value on offer on the East coast, may just put the 1800 towards a deposit on a flat in the kingdom...

Thought I'd replied to this, apparently not.

At my current place it'll be around £450 for 18 holes (which is in good nick, has some good views of the Severn) plus an 18 hole par 3 course (which has even better views of the Severn) and good facilities but it's 22 miles from my house (around 25-30 minute drive).

If I change courses I'll be paying £300 (plus EGU fees of £25) for an 18 hole course set into the side of a hill with some great views of the Cotswolds with brand new 2-tier driving range (apparently) and purpose built practice putting green and renovated clubhouse which is less than 5 miles from my house (10 minute drive) but is in a less-than-favourable part of town (though admittedly, it's not as bad as it once was)

In my head, I've already made my mind up. I've seen a few pics of the new place and it looks like it's got some great golf holes, the only thing that will stop me going there is if the course looks like it isn't looked after and isn't in good nick (crap greens, bare fairways and tee boxes etc).

About 1400. It never ceases to amaze me the M25 factor. Inside add 30%, outside deduct 30% for similar tracks.

Fees Due for Renewal in April
Last year was £540 ........... and £50 for my Son ( 12 yrs old )
Been rumoured an increase ths year to £570 ?? ..... To Be Confirmed

I am not a member of a club at the moment due to Family ie young kids, so would be a waste of time paying membership as i dont get out that often but as they are getting older i hope to get out more this year and have decided to buy a membership at a nice 9 hole course not far from me and as they do different packages and the one that suits me is the bronze package £99 for unlimited play Mon-Fri Tee off before 5pm.

Let's not be modest John. Two full Championship Courses and one of the best 9 hole courses in Scotland and host to the GM/HDID tournament!

Wow great looking courses, and what a clubhouse. I see they do a seniors 55 and over pairs Open which I think I should treat myself to in a few years. Just need to find someone equally as old.:mmm:

I have just changed clubs as i get a better deal at my new club and the courses are about as good as each other.
Cost is £750 but i get from now until april next year on it so happy days.

I've just realised that if I move clubs I can head out for early morning 9 holes during the week before work. Hoping beyond all things great that this course is not going to disappoint so I can join.

Can you not wander over for a round once the hard frosty ground and snow clear and see personally what condition its in. I guess you need to be realistic in that greenstaff won't have been able to do much work lately but it'll also tell you if any of it gets particularly wet and boggy

That's exactly what I've just done.. (well apart from the work part). I hope to play 9 holes or practice before I come home for a cuppa and put my feet up :D

I've just emailed them and asked if I can get a concession or free green fee one saturday morning if I pop up and check the place out. I love the idea of being able to play early in the morning before work or after work (which I could do at my old place, but with nearly an hour's driving). I'm getting myself all excited at the prospect, but I'll probably go up there and it'll be worse than Lydd. :(

ours have gone up by £25 to £875 for a full adult member which i don't think is to bad for 7 days a week 365 days a year of sadomasochistic pleasure.

£920 including my locker.

Not cheap but happy with how the changes are being made and also we've had a new green built that looks superb.
