This is happening a lot at my club.
There’s always someone shooting the lights out in a comp.
Usually a mid high capper who has a great day.
It’s a tough golf course but can’t compete with +9 , I still can’t belive it.
37 points won division 1 and division 2 of the monthly stableford (I had 32 in div 2) and 36 won div 3

You can play Friday all day sat and Sunday morning. 210 entered. Par 70. SSS 70. CSS 69

the simple answer is you are effectively playing match play against the course

As Patrick says it’s matchplay against a scratch golfer (the course)
He gets par on every hole and dosnt make mistakes or birdies.
You just take your shots on the stroke index.
This was a board comp so some score.
