Your Clubs Winning Scores This Weekend

I thought it would be a good idea to post up each week the winning scores from any comps at your home club over each weekend. You could maybe add why? Tough conditions, easy pins, cheating bandits etc etc

I'll start it off for this weekend at Styal

Only one comp this weekend

Saturday - Medal 65 by a 15 H/C by three shots. He's now off 13!

Over 55's Wood Cup on Saturday (board event) 38 points won by guy off 18. Cut 0.6 and now 17.5 so no cut as such.

It would be helpful if we knew the par for the course, SSS and CSS. Number of entrants might be useful as well.

We had a Stableford, won with 46 points which is exceptional at our place, winner off 11, second and third were both 42 points.
Par 72, SSS 71, CSS 71, 93 entrants.

Pullar was played in lashing rain and a 4 club wind, no one broke 80 Gross that played in it so winner was a 11 handicap with a net 73 (CSS 73) FYI only 25 entrants due to the weather

played at my other club yesterday and they had a medal on too, net 61 was mentioned CSS 69 i think by a 12 handicap. but not 100% not on there results page

Bogey comp yesterday winning score was 3up on the course. Only 4 players broke what would effectively be broke handicap.


Winner was a 12 handicap on count back from a guy off 16.
My score was 1dn so wasn't overly far away.

40 entrants in comp, Par 72 CSS 71.

On a plus note of 40 entrants I'm only 1 that bagged a 2 in the comp so still a nice little earner for me.

Winner 15 under, 2nd place -13. Our team was -11 so close but no cigar. Great fun.

windy, odd spot of rain.

I had 35 day 1 and 33 day 2 finishing double , bogey, blank, bogey. disgusted.

Monthly Medal:
Par 70, SSS 69, CSS 68, Won with Nett 64 by bloke off 15 (14.7), cut 1.2, now down to 14 (13.7).

Weather was dry with light winds.

We had the Club Day medal. Par is 68..
Division 1 was won by a 5 h'capper shooting 70 (net 65). My mate came 2nd shooting 84 off 18 (net 66) - he managed an eagle 2 on the S.I 1 hole, as he found the cup from about 160 odd yards. So that helped.
Division 2 was won by a 29 h'capper shooting 92 (net 63). My mate came 3rd as he shot 97 off 31 (net 66).

I was 9th in D2 as I shot 92 for a net 71.

The weather was pretty perfect really. Warm all day, just slightly damp underfoot from rain the previous night.

Played yesterday in a Stableford comp.

I had 37 points with 2 blobs. After parring the tough 11th I knew I was in the mix. But them limped home with 2 very silly blobs at 15 & 18. But reasonably hopeful as didn't feel I played that well so should have a better day in me in the next few weeks.

Winner was 43 points. He is now 21.2, so assume he's come down 2.8.

Conditions were pretty benign with 40 not being enough for 3rd in some cases.

I didn't play in it so not really bothered but the winner on this weekend's 36 hole comp shot net 60 in the morning, followed by a net 59 in the afternoon.

Winning score was 42 points, SSS 70, CSS 70. Won by a h/cap of 19, 2nd had 39 points. Only 58 entrants

Big major at my club, 2 rounds. Winner finished 4 under par net, i was 2 shots back.

Monthly medal. Pretty benign weather and tee positions. Par 71, sss and CSS were 72.

Winner (off scratch) shot 67.

I managed 85 (net 74), so happy enough with the buffer. Was 15th from 55.

I had a knockout match, holed out on all holes as I wanted to keep my score:

Shot 70 for Net 68.

Absolutely gutted, I had planned to play in the medal as it was a board comp but my opponent is on holiday for 3 weeks and had limited availability for his knockout over the weekend.

Current HC is 1.5 so would have got me down to 1, not impressed.
