Thanks to all the well-wishers and good luck messages, I just rang the club and was very pleased to hear that my 8 iron was handed in yesterday morning.

I have to say that everyone's positive words of encouragement calmed me down quite a bit, so thanks again to everyone. I was bracing myself for telling HID that I'd be ordering a replacement, no need for that now.

In celebration, I'm going to book a playing lesson for Friday. :)

Heh, I left my 7-iron at the range once and it was like I'd left my daughter! :)

Glad you got it back - it certainly restores your faith in the world doesn't it! :D

Thanks agaian everyone, I'm ever so grateful to whoever handed my iron back. I'll find out off the Pro who it was, and definitely be buying them a beer or two ( as long as they're not driving ;) )

FAO The Squire - I've joined Llantrisant and Pontyclun G C, not a bad offer at £585 and no joining fee. I've only handed in one card from 18 holes, I shot an 88 on an OK day. I've only been playing 9 or 11 holes throughout the evenings since I've joined up. I'm getting used to the course, but reckon I'll get too used to it's short holes, and get destroyed going round a longer course.

How's your game coming along ?

P.S. Did you watch that shower of sh1 t last weekend down at NP ? Twitchy bum time now against Sheff Weds.

Yes I was there and what shower of s#1t did you mean, the team or the £50 worth of 'Celebrations'? It certainly will be twitchy on Sunday.
The cheaky barstewards were up the Celtic this afternoon on the Montgomerie, they should have been practicing their shooting.

My games not too bad thanks, played today in our midweek stableford and shot 38 pts (81-nett 69) on the Roman Road, have to play my singles knock-out tomorrow but the weather looks like it will be wet and on Friday I am playing on the 2010 for the 2nd time, so looking forward to that. I've had the week off.

Keep learning the course as it took me at least a year to get to grips with the two up here and they still trip me up.

The fireworks were amazing on the pitch, I thought the Beijing Olympic Organisers had arranged it for us !! You're right it was pathetic.

I'm in two minds as to go to Sheffield, there's 11 places left on the bus I usually go on, but if we don't get a point it's a long way back to Cardiff from Sheffield.

Good Luck on the 2010, maybe we can have a knock when I've got my H'Cap cert.

Yes we could have a game over the summer I'm sure.

A couple of weeks ago on the day Wales played Germany, I played the Roman and snap hooked my drive off the first up the twelth hole and nearly took out Kevin Radcliffe, as I approached him I said to him, 'Well if it isn't the greatest centre half to ever have played for the City ..................... after Don Murrey'.

I can't print what he said to me but he did have a grin on has face and his bbc mates were taking the p155 out of him.

Did you go to Sheffield today ? I can't believe they threw it away like they have over the last few weeks, although perhaps I should have known they would blow it. There was a bunch of players and management at the Celtic on Wednesday afternoon, why weren't they having shooting practice.

When they are leading up to the most important game of the season, to me the golf course is the last place they should have been.

ps. You won't need your h/c cert to have a game at the Celtic
