Would you pay for this?

As you can imagine, with all this 'weather' we're having, I find myself with time on my hands and it got me wondering...
Just imagine you have a nice photgraph that you took somewhere but it's spoiled by something that got it the way.
Maybe a lampost, telephone wires, HID, or maybe you just want Smiffy airbrushed from a pic.
Would you just do it yourself, leave it or pay someone a very small fee to do it for you as it can be very time consuming?
I'm just wondering if it's a service some people might want.
I'm not talking mega money, just a couple of pounds to save you the bother.

Here's a look at how it can improve a pic.

Or do I have to go back to washing cars and sweeping chimneys to put food on the table
(Cue sad violin music) ;)

People are inherently lazy, so i can see people would take you up on it. personally, i have photoshop so would DIY, however most people dont have A. the technology (ie MS paint), B. the skill, so yes, i see a market for it.

There's also the time factor, people are just too busy sometimes.
If people will pay to have someone come to their house to wash their car, I'm sure it was worth asking.

20 years ago maybe, but now I reckon everyone knows a couple of folk who can do basic photoshopping. There's a few websites like "fivesquids.com" where people offer to do jobs for a fiver. Photo editing is one of them and it's a very diluted market meaning that you'd have to do loads of photos and gain loads of customers a day just to earn a pittance.

I agree it is a diluted market. I have a friend who has a photography degree, and currently can be seen doing a similar thing for cash in between photography jobs and a part time shift at Debenhams. I have to do a bit of photo editing for my job, and with free photo editing tools everyone who owns a PC can find some software and watch YouTube videos to learn how to do it. That's how I learnt to use Photoshop!

Sorry to rain on the parade.

I'm sure there are lots of youtube clips on how to wash your car too but some people still pay others to do it.
As I said, it was just an idea

if you could put me in a pic at Pebble beach playing with Tiger, McIlroy, Donald and Player with Danny Minogue as my bikini clad caddie I'd pay a few quid for that:smirk:

You will never know unless you give it a try. Your not going to have to lay out a fortune and like you say your not deluded of becoming a overnight millionaire. If all your after is earning a bit of spare cash and not your main income I say go for it.

I for one would pay for this service I work long hours often away from home and time I do have spare I don't want to be in front of a computer messing about with photos.

Some of the best ideas initially get shot down and laughed at. What's to loose?

I wish there was. I already do it for people for free but do sometimes get gifts of a few tinnies. I have added people to photos and removed more from others.
