Would you pay £350 to play Royal Lytham?

Nope......nearly 20 quid a hole......no thanks.
It would be a great experience but I'd rather play 2 or 3 other reasonable courses for the same money....

The tourist market definitely is at a play again. I know a member of a club in Ireland called carne. His membership was like 500 euro at first , still low but the green fee is 100 euro (was when he told me) because if they didn't go to that level the us market werent interested as they see price as mark of quality.

I know someone who'll be along soon 😉...
It doesn't hold the same prestige as st andrews, which I have paid to play so it's a no from me.

I'm lucky, our club has an annual senior's friendly match against RLSA, home and away. Whilst it is always oversubscribed and the team is selected by a ballot, I have played twice and we pay the princely sum of £25 to play the away leg, which includes a 2 course meal afterwards!

Would I pay £350, not in a million years :p

I wouldn't pay that for a round of golf anywhere in the world, but would play it if someone else was.

Corporate golf helps me to play some courses I would never visit and hope the invites continue as long as I can swing a club.

No, but only because I have no burning desire to play it. On the other hand I will happily pay £190 for a twighlight round at a course I have a real yearning to play later this year.

I think a lot depends on who you are playing with as has been said. Memories for life and all that.

Absolutely not.

Wouldn't pay that sort of money for any course.

Just finished booking our Spring\Summer away days.

10 decent tracks for the princely sum of £280pp with a few bacon butties included.
