Worst course you have played?

Played at Lagganmore, between Stranraer and Portpatrick. Absolutely unbelievable. Lost a ball in the middle of the fairway cause we couldn't see it for the daisies.

We renamed the place laggannonevernomore.

Many, many years ago I played Moffat and bought some purple Titleists or Pinnacles only to find the course covered in heather!

I'm sure they sold those balls over and over again

However Tilgate Forrest was such a dump with horrible hole after horrible hole(I played bad too). It's a dump or was on that day!!

You're kidding me. Granted it could do with losing the electricity pylons but it ain't that bad. If I never play Epsom again it will be too soon; only course I prefer to use as a car park.

Rugeley in Staffordshire, some really stupid blind holes with one having a massively sloping fairway into the rubbish and another par 4 into trees (seriously no other way round the damn hole)
Recently hatchbrook near the airport, greens were awful and the 2 holes on temps were better to putt on - we even won our matchplay and got to go back again soon!

To be fair it could be half decent. They are in the catch 22 of not enough punters to have money to invest to attract more punters. When I played it they only had one greenkeeper and it was in not bad nick all considered.

Auchterderran. It wasn't that bad overall, just in really poor condition. Quite a strange layout, but I think it could be quite interesting if some money was spent on it.

Worst...but understandable....Benbecula. Built parallel to the airport. Nothing higher than a tee box.
Worst 9 holer..........Thames Ditton. A3 one side/Hampton Court road the other/London to Portsmouth rail line through the course/common land/ adjacent to railway station/ loads of dog walkers.

Worst 18 hole........St Neots. Just a horrible course with even horribler members

Whiting Bay on Arran used to be spoiled by a couple of poor holes. One in particular had a green that looked like there was a dead elephant buried under it, the 17th if I remember right. So out of keeping with the rest of the course.

The only course I've not enjoyed was Rugby. If someone shouted Fore the whole course ducked as there were that many cross overs, not sure how they get away with it. Poorest greens I've ever come across and not idyllic by any standards.

I know they struggle financially and look after the course (the playing members) themselves so their on a hiding to nothing but as far as the question is concerned, Rugby to date is my worst or poorest experience unfortunately.
