I had no idea Ding's record against Ronnie was so poor (only 2 wins in 13 meetings and hasn't beaten him for 10 years) but I honestly can't see him coming back from 11-5 so needs the last frame to have any chance.

John on cruise control with 1 foot in the semis on the other table.

If I was betting my money would be on Ding tomorrow. He looks very sharp and only needs 3 more frames. Ronnie will need some help from Ding to catch him...

ronniie needs to rattle of 3 franes in quick time to get after Ding. If he doesnt I wuldnt be sad to see Ding go on and win the title.

Selby has done that before to players better than Fu, Stephen Hendry for one.

He's very underrated, he will be in the conversation of most successful players of all time come the end of his career.

Fu has had an excellent year and it a great player but Selby is a class above.
 
I'll reserve judgment on him being one of the greats.. beating hendry in his twilight years is not very impressive. no doubt he's a top player though.

If he gets to 4 WC's then he's right up there for me as IMO Ronnie's 5 WC's and John's 4 WC's are comparable to Hendry's 7 WC's as the standard is much higher than it was in Hendry's pomp.

This will also be Selby's 5th consecutive year as World No.1 at the end of the season (already guaranteed no matter who wins in Sheffield), again no mean feat against the standards of today.
 
Selby might not be one of the most exciting to watch, but the record books don't care!

Could be a cracker this afternoon if Ronnie is on form. 7 frames to win vs 3 for Ding.

Ronnie actually wasn't that bad yesterday, Ding was just that good. He was lethal from long range and once in you'll struggle to find a better hoover to clear the table time after time than Ding.

I just have a feeling that today is the day Ding gets his can't beat Ronnie monkey off his back.
