Loving it that was the first and possibly only sticker book I finished, some of the haircuts are shocking, looking at the England side I forgot that Rocky went to Italia 90 what a great footballer

Brilliant, was obsessed with this at the time, use to swap stickers and think I got the whole book completed.

Wonder if it's still in the folks attic???

I got a copy of this years World Cup sticker album in the paper yesterday, there are nearly 700 sticekrs to collect.

I considered trying to complete it, (for my five year old, honest) until I realised it would cost the best part of £200 to do so!!

Now I know why my Dad used to buy me two packs of stickers a week when I was a kid, three as a special treat!!!

lol, that is brilliant - thanks for posting. 1990 was my 'first' World Cup also so brings back memories.

Vialli with hair just looks wrong - must be a wig! Some pretty good managerial stock in thet Italian side as well.

I remember collecting the stickers for the 74 world cup and my mum having to write off and get the last few as they never seemed to be released (everyone at school was missing the Zaire keeper). I did evenutally get the whole set. By 1990 I was only interested in getting to the pub for the games and getting bladdered

Some classic pics there, Scotland always had a good team but always failed on the big stage

Brilliant. Ended up deciding to go on the spur of the moment with a couple of mates when England beat Belgium and 4 days later we were in Naples watching Lineker & co scrape through against Cameroon (Roger Milla etc) in the quarter final. Went to Rome the night after and had one of the best nights ever with all the Irish fans still there after losing to Italy....they can party by the way !!

Ireland - 12 out of 17 not from Ireland!

Quality.

all it took in those days was a pint og the black stuff. One thing about Big Trap is hes not afraid to go back down that route. Hes got a few over and more possibly on the way. Happy days I say.

As a middle of the road player would you rather get 1 cap for "them" or play in lots of matches for the best supported team in the world!!! A no brainer.

The Colombian keepers look like they should be in Twisted Sister!

Sporting families- the Belgian Leo Clijsters is tennis player Kim's dad.

Ahh!
Italia '90
All I remember is the drunken haze - watched every game at my mate's new house. All he had was a sofa, 2 chairs and a fridge/freezer. We stayed there for the whole tournament, lived on Pizza, fish'n'chips and beer.
The fridge/freezer was delivered in a big cardboard box.
We filled it with our beer cans. God only knows how many.
God only knows how he got the box out.... :D
