Your wife isn't happy about you spending £180, you are afraid of telling her that a new cart bag is also on its way and that you also need to buy the wedges, and some of your relatives are likely to ask you where you got the money from. It sounds to me like you need to strap a pair on, especially if you haven't been married long, before the dye is cast. My advice (which will probably result in the divorce court!!) is to come clean about both the bag and the wedges, and to tell the relatives to keep the hell out of your financial affairs as it has nothing to do with them. Oh, and buy HID something nice as well.
