Here's a great offer for those of an itinerant disposition in the Edinburgh area.

Winter Deal

Even if you get five or six games over the period, you've more than paid for your golf. Granted, the Braids may be on a shortened winter course, but Craigentinny ( Royal Craigentinny for Mr Findlay ;)) and Silverknowes are playable almost every day.

Well worth a punt if you're in the area and looking for a few games over the winter.

Yip. It's a fine deal. Can't be beat really. £99 for five months golf.

I got the membership last winter, which as everyone will remember was the snowiest, coldest in history. Snow was pretty much on the ground for 2 months solid here and in spite of this I still got about 15 games out of this membership in 2 months, so it worked out at around £6.60 a round for me. What could have been if that weather hadn't been so harsh!

Braids and Royal Craigentinny were much used. They're great wee courses. Thoroughly enjoyable. Carrick Knowe is fine but Silverknowes was only playing 8 holes last year and I'm not a great fan. Even so, it gives you a bit of variety through the winter.

Anyone who's a nomad golfer and wants to play some over the winter...you'll struggle to find a better deal anywhere.
