Can I just clarify something...are we talking about a ball hitting the flag or the flagstick (or pin)?

It’s more of a case of the OP made a funny point but we cant avoid descending into another argument about taking the flag out to putt from two feet or not.

I often have this debate when I play with the wife. I like it in and she likes it out. So its game where its constantly in or out.
