Of course they don't need countering, unless of course you're so self important that you've appointed yourself as the arbiter of what's allowed and what's not, or maybe you just get a kick out of bullying someone else to try and look clever.

Who knows why, but no matter the reason it says more about the people doing the bullying than it does about Del and his harmless musings.

Well, imo, the likes of opinions that 'Holes should be made bigger', 'Deep rough should be hacked down' etc. DO need countering! That's not to say either opinion shouldn't be allowed. And I trust you realise that you are actually doing precisely what you appear to be accusing me of - setting up as an arbiter of what's allowed! There's always the 'Report' button if you feel criticism is getting out of hand!

As none of this thread-jack has anything in the slightest to do with the thread topic, I'd suggest you either start another thread on the topic, or stop trolling in this one! As for me..I'm out of this!

So far it's people rightly critisicing someone who constantly posts the same messages towards changing the game of golf to make it easier because he struggles to play the game. He could even be knowingly posting the same repeatative posts knowing he gets a reaction - that could be counted as trolling the forum. But bullying because he is being critiszed ? Surely to be bullying there needs to be insults ? Threats or even threatening behaviour ? And the mods acting on those - if you believe any post is bullying then report the post instead of throwing accusations at people.

IMO it's bullying, pure and simple and no need for it all.

As for it potentially being trolling on Del's part, the normal response would be "don't feed the troll".

Then report the said bullying then if that's what you believe is happening


And yes I believe people are right to critise his constant need and want to change the game to make it easier for him

No, not at all. But if you and a group of others were to gather on this thread and tell me to stop posting it, belittling me for posting about it before etc. etc. then it becomes bullying.

So, you're accusing us of co-ordinating the posting against Del? This is absolutely not the case but I can tell you that if Del or anyone writes things I personally disagree with I will continue to excersise my freedom of expression and disagree with him. No one has had more personal postings against his views than Liverpoolphil's, some quite vitriolic, but I don't see accusations of bullying against them!

I have no objection to anyone disagreeing with anyone else's opinion, be that mines, Del or whoever.

But there are several posts on this thread that are simply having a pop at Del personally and have nothing whatsoever to do with what he posted on this thread, and it is that I find distasteful.

It's not, but several posts on this thread weren't disagreeing with the OP but were simply personal digs at the OP himself.

Seems we are going off on a tangent here and not a good one. I suggest ger147 drops a note to the mods (click the triangle symbol bottom left of a post you think is bullying) and let them have a look. Personally I feel that like others. Delc does make a rod for his own back at times with the way he wants the game to seemingly be made easier but that's his opinion. By disagreeing isn't bullying and if the majority do the same again it's not a vendetta but a consensus of opinion.

There are threads on here and in out of bounds that have definitely contained bullying and trolling. I've been the recipient and I've done it (and had infractions awarded accordingly - and rightly) and have tried to adjust my posting style since an enforced sojourn from here. I think here or in out of bounds is a post from MikeH outlining forum rules and behaviour
