I play because no matter how good I get, I`ll always be able to improve. I play to lower my h`cap. I go out every round to break my PB and I play for those rare perfect shots that no one on the planet could have hit better.
I play to be the best golfer I can and to play as well as I can on any given day. Most times I fall woefully short but there will always be something about the game I've just played that was good and will keep me coming back for more. It can't be beaten or tamed. It's unique in the fact you can tee it up next to the best in the world and theoretically play them off a level playing field. Not many sports that happens

I play golf cos I cant do any other physical sport any more and its outdoors in the fresh air. I also like the challenge and the fact you dont have to rely on anyone else.
