Who's watching the Liverpool match?

Watching Sterling again today he has got to go to the World Cup. IMO he should be getting a starting shirt, I can't of any other England players at the minute who can offer this from outwide.

With Walcott out I would agree, would like to see him get more goals. He seems to lack composure (age) but looks a certainty for Brazil.

Should be part of a front three with Sturridge and Rooney -

Was a quality performance throughout the whole team

Certainly in with a shout but think we will fall short

But can easily see us getting 3rd

I wouldn't discount little old lallana disrupting the order. He may only play for a small club, but he's the only player in the squad who can retain the ball up top without running up blind alleys.

League is is gonna be properly tight though, if Liverpool win their home games I think they'll take the title.

Not going to get carried away as a Liverpool fan here, but, can Liverpool win the league? All their big games are at home so that helps and the are not that far behind. A couple of results going their way over the next couple of weeks will see them right in it.

Are they going to win the league? .
Why not ? good a chance as anyone , don tell Liverbirdie i said this tho ;) BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIG statement of intent today ..

Might be hard to believe but id have a right snigger to myself if ye did ha

I would love it if we did

Ref mistakes cost us points ( possibly 6 ) in the games against Chelsea and City - with those we could be sitting pretty - but that's all ifs and buts

i suppose all clubs could pick a few issues with refs over the season , just hurts bit more points wise when its against your direct opponents for the title ..

At Start of season If ye were offered to be within 9 points of the top & playing as well as any of the rest .. i bet you would have doubted it but taken it with both hands

But Ref decisions helped you against Stoke & Villa. Without those you could be sitting not so pretty

No doubt at all

It's very unexpected at the moment

One point worse off - so balanced out we could be 5 points better off - City 3 less and Chelsea 3 less

Maybe, but unless all of the decisions happened in the last minute then the results were never certain. You may well have scored without own against villa, just as you may still have lost at City if goal had been given.

Why would I need to play any card ?

You certainly are never in any rush to jump into any convo about Liverpool - maybe you are really a red

Anyway - it was a nothing comment about refs mistakes that doesn't need dragging through 4 pages so I'll leave that there

Hence why the original comment contains the words "it's all ifs and buts"

I think if Liverpool could have their first choice 11 out every week for the rest of the season then I really think they have a great chance of winning it. If you look at what would probably be the best starting 11, it is more or less as good as anyone.

Mignolet
Johnson, Skyrtl, Agger, Enrique
Gerrard, Lucas
Couthinio
Sturridge, Suarez, Sterling

Problem still sits with the bench. Plenty of back up players in the defensive roles, but no one really that can come on and win a game.

Think Johnson's time at RB is coming to an end - been a massive improvement with flanno in there

Certainly need to improve the bench but we can't have big earners sat on the bench - the youngsters coming through are filling the gaps well so far - great to see Ibe get another run out
